HISTORY

The Beach Camp is one of the oldest forms of accommodation in Paternoster.

Waaaaaay before the sleepy fishing village of Paternoster was even heard of, when the road to Paternoster was such a bad dirt road that one needed a 4×4 to get in and out, The Beach Camp - under the cc West Coast Kayak Trails - was started by a conservationist called Hannes Kleynhans.

Of course, it didn’t initially look the way it does now… We are constantly making things a little more comfortable and cozy as we carry on trading. We are happy to say that some of our clients have been coming to us regularly for 11 years.

We have been in many newspapers, magazines and television broadcasts. Example are Cooked in Africa - BBC Food; Going No-Where Slowly; Pasella; Country Life; Die Burger; Weslander; Sarie; Marie-Claire; Elle; You; Getaway; Weg; Dive Style; Mens Health, to name but a few…
